White bead necklace

Today I have a pretty necklace featuring white carved beads on sterling chain, named "Emmanuelle" after my favorite uncle (my dad's brother). I hope he doesn't mind that he looks very feminine in these pictures!

Emmanuelle is now available at the shop.

I also switched around the front picture for the Mila earrings because I think the flower shot might be more successful in luring people in to take a look at her. We'll see if this is the case!

So today I've been trying not to read the news too much on the Ohio and Texas primaries. I don't want to have a nervous breakdown. Though I have to admit this is nail-biter politics at its best! Right now it looks like Ohio is too close to call. The nail biting continues...

Can you tell I'm super excited about these earrings? They are so adorable I can't contain myself. I named them "Joy," after my cousin Joy (and another cousin's middle name), because how could these not bring a smile to your face? Seriously - they just scream joy to me!

I am going to make myself a pair, too.

Oh yes, to the description: the owls are vintage plastic, accompanied by a pair of Hill Tribe silver leaf pendants and white carved beads, all on French hook earwires.

Heart count to date: I'm up to 24 now! Yippee!

Wow, "Sarah Connor Chroincles" was so good last night. We saw the future! It was great!

Cinnabar and music

Here is a preview of a new piece. This is "Mary," named after one of my good friends who was also one of my first customers (thanks, Mary!).

The pendant is a green cinnabar with white carved flower beads and a long sterling silver chain. I will post to let you know when she is available at the shop.

I downloaded four songs onto my iPod recently and I haven't been able to stop listening to them. The first two are by Jimmy Eat World, "Big Casino" and "Chase the Light." I swear, Chase the Light is so romantic! I don't even really know what the lyrics are saying (I never do) but it sounds so dreamy.

The third song is "Minority" by Greenday, and the last is "Shadow of the Day" by my new favorite group, Linkin Park. This one is very jangly pop, which sounds very different from their other songs like "Bleed It Out" and "What I've Done".

I keep putting them all on repeat. That might be bad, as I'll get sick of them in no time. But so far they're making my commute to work very enjoyable.
