Winter scene

This is what things looked like outside my front door Tuesday morning (yes, the plow hadn't come through yet). Luckily, we didn't get as much as other places, but this whole landscape had turned into ice by Wednesday, causing havoc everywhere and shutting things down. I was hoping we would be able to get through the winter season without any kind of snow or ice storms - an obviously futile wish!

Chalcedony earrings

Today's new shop addition is a pair of aqua chalcedony earrings, named "Mila" after one of my aunts. She is wire wrapped in sterling earwires.

Chalcedony has to be one of my all-time favorite stones, especially this pretty aqua color. More details and pictures of Mila are available at the shop!

I also finally developed my store policies on warranties, as well as on returns and exchanges. Basically I am now offering a one-year warranty, from date of purchase, for repair work on all jewelry pieces from my shop, as well as a 30-day policy on returns and exchanges. Tonight was the season finale of the Sarah Connor Chronicles. The last hour was amazing! The cliffhanger wasn't bad either. I feel a bit bereft, but consoling myself that The Office is coming back soon.

New shop item: turquoise earrings

These are the "Marnie" earrings, a matching piece to the "Meridith" necklace. Their namesakes are also my college pals.

Marnie is a pair of puffy oval turquoise earrings wrapped on sterling silver earwires, and is now available at the shop.

The fierce ice storm we had here last night has finally gone. In the midst of it, I spent about 10 minutes along with several other people scraping the thick layer of ice off our cars on the roof of the parking garage. And then driving home at 2 mph. And then trying not to break my neck walking across the ice to my front door.

I hate winter.
