This summer, I am toning down my gardening ambitions after a couple of gardening seasons ended with wilted flowers, as well as nearly killing my two azalea bushes.
I think I can handle this mini deck garden. Not too many things to remember to water.
My lavender pots! I can't wait until they flower and I can harvest and dry the blooms.
This one is Provencal lavender.
The azaleas have bloomed. This, however, is not the bush I planted - unfotunately those bushes did not flower due to my forgetting to fertilize them in the fall.
My sister and I went to see SATC again last night. It was even better the second time around! Although I do have to now quibble about the huge plot hole - the deux ex machina, if you will - in the form of the blue Manolos. That's all I'm going to say about that because I don't want to give away spoilers here...

Very pretty garden! We're going to try to tackle some landscaping in a couple days.....
Wait, what don't you like about the shoes in the movie??
Thanks, HMM!
{SPOILER ALERT}
OK, so about the blue Manolos - I wondered why they were left behind in the closet after all the rest of her stuff was returned to her from the 5th Ave penthouse. The only reason Carrie went back to the penthouse was to get those shoes back, otherwise she wouldn't have, and she wouldn't have seen Big there. So it felt contrived to me!
I'm thinking maybe her boxes of stuff never got put into the closet -- they just got left in the living room. Therefore, the movers who moved her stuff out never even checked the closet because they didn't put anything in there. Hence why the blue Manolos were still inside the closet even after her boxes got moved out. A stretch perhaps? I'm willing to buy it. I was just so happy to see Big grace the screen again after such a long absence.
K, hmmm, OK, I'll buy that!
